What was life like in Roman Bucks?
During this workshop, groups will explore how the Romans dressed, cooked, played, and fought through object handling, gallery exploration and hands-on, multi-sensory activities.
In this workshop, pupils will:
-make a Living Timeline in order to understand where the Romans fit into history, who they were and where they came from
-handle genuine Roman artefacts and explore what they were used for
-investigate what a Roman diet looked like and how it is different to food today
-explore the Roman exhibit in our museum gallery to discover what Roman life in Bucks looked like
-make a Roman mosaic pattern and learn what the Romans did for fun by trying out Roman toys and games
-learn what a Roman villa looked like and how clothing has changed over time by trying on our Roman outfits
