What are the stories behind our ancient artefacts? What would museum objects tell us if they could talk? What was life like for the people who used to own these objects?
In this workshop, pupils will:
– handle a range of historical objects and discuss the historical periods they belong to
– explore our museum gallery
– discuss how a range of historical objects were made and what they were used for
– consider the lives of the people who may have used the objects through group discussion
– practise creating characters, mood and setting
– create their own piece of creative writing inspired by what they have seen
