Get Inspired: SEND Arts & Crafts
In this workshop, groups will have the opportunity to handle a range of our museum objects in a relaxed setting, exploring the following questions:
What does it feel like? What do you think it’s made of? What do you think it was used for?
If you have a specific theme or topic you would like us to incorporate, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate this!
Groups will then have the choice of creating a piece of art inspired by what they have seen using clay, paint or collage materials (please specify when booking).
Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery SEND Science Adventure
In this workshop, groups will gather for a relaxed, multi-sensory introduction to Roald Dahl’s life and stories. They will then have the opportunity to explore independently.
-Investigate underground treasures in Fantastic Mr Fox’s Tunnel
-Discover the world of minibeasts inside James’s Giant Peach
-Explore sound with the BFG
-Baffle your brains and boggle your eyes with optical illusions
-Shrink in Mr Wonka’s Chocolate Television Machine
