Enormous Crocodile workshop

Using Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile, this fun Key Stage 1 workshop focuses on the characteristics of predators that make them so fearsome. Combining storytelling, natural history and craft, this session has everything a teacher would want for a wondercrump day out with their class.

 

Curriculum Links (science):

-Use observations and ideas to suggest answers to questions

-Gather and record data to help in answering questions

-Identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals

-Identify and name a variety of common animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores

-Describe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals)

 

In this workshop, pupils will:

-Take part in an interactive storytelling of The Enormous Crocodile

-Discuss the characteristics of predators

-Observe real predators from our museum collections

-Make a predator puppet to take back to school
